Welcome to my podcast. I was given the opportunity to host my own radio program in December 2005 at the University of Manitoba campus & community radio station. My show is called "KEEP RISING" in tribute to one of my favourite artists Keni Burke. We broadcast on 101.5 FM in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The call letters are CJUM but the station is more commonly called UMFM. I've been having a great time playing the music that I love. Black music doesn't get alot of shine in this part of the North American continent so it's a pleasure for me to bring it to the people who are aficionados as well as to perhaps introduce it's lesser-known artists to listeners with open minds and impeccable taste. Commercial radio lacks inspiration at the best of times. This show is dedicated to people who want more substance from the airwaves. I broadcast every Saturday morning (9-11AM) in Winnipeg and I'll be sending out the podcasts from now on so that people can enjoy the show at their convenience.
